Reebok cleats hurt my husband's big toe.?

My husband, who's been playing softball for years and never had an issue with cleats, purchased Reebok cleats at the beginning of this season (late May 2009). The cleats have basically fallen apart in quick fashion. He's played only 17 games and the cleats on one shoe have almost all broken off and as a result he severely injured his big toe on that foot during the last game he played. He is going to lose the big toe-nail as a result.

First check with Dick's and see if they will help you (you can see if they will take your Visa statement as proof of purchase there). If they can't help you then get the contact info for Reebok and see if they will do anything. When you are doing this please remember that it isn't the fault of the people that you are talking to, they didn't make the shoes. If you start out with a bad attitude and start making demands you aren't going to get as far as you will if you are calm and nice. You may very well get a new pair of shoes but don't expect them to pay any medical bills. If the cleats were breaking off before he injured the toe he should not have been wearing the shoes. If you have a problem with footwear the sooner you report it to the store the better your chances of getting a replacement or refund.
